There was a place on the Woolwich Road pretty much opposite the old Fire Station that did absolutely cracking massive PORTIONS.
It had a Galaxians game as well.
Feeling a bit nostalgic now since the Terry WOGAN thread.

Ark in Wanstead? Where's that? I love The Lighthouse in Wanstead with its original 1930s sign and bakerlite picture of a lighthouse. I don't live anywhere near there but I think they do fantastic fish and chips.

Seafresh, wilton road, Victoria, very good fish and chips you can also get a plate of oysters, scallops, calamari etc.

I always found the chips cut a bit big for me in there Hermit and so when busy and they were rushing the frying, it was like eating huge under cooked pieces of potatoe with no chips in sight.
Fish was lovely though.

Liverpool Street you can't beat my mate Paddy's fish and chips at Poppies. Trouble is it got very fashionable so people have to say it's not that good because it's fashionable not to be fashionable.
